I have put these two tools through he and back in just four months. The drill is a boss and the impact driver will last forever on one of these small batteries. I have probably used 300+ 2 1/2inch screws on one battery. I would buy again in te years when my tools break.AwesomeI recently purchased a 10 by 12 Greenhouse from Harbor Freight and readily realized this light-weight greenhouse needed plenty of structural beefing up and the set of Dewalt drill/impact driver did an incredible job of assisting me in reinforcing the greenhouse.I needed to use Torx screws to attach framing lumber and also needed to install plenty of neoprene washer roof screws and the lightweight nature and incredible power of both Dewalt cordless tools did the trick.Hard to rate longevity as I just got these tools but older son has same drill and it is a beast and he has had it about three years!!Both the drill and impact driver are very impressive. The impact driver is powerful enough to twist a 3/8ths lag bolt in two if you get too carried away. I am building a wood shed and using 4 inch lag bolts and screws instead of nails. There will not be a single nail used in this project.I am doing this all myself and having these two tools has made this job possible. They have more than enough power to run the lag bolts into rail road ties. I drilled pilot holes first using a 1/4” then slightly less than a 3/8ths. I put 1/4 inch hole into the rail road tie then the 3/8ths only through the attaching plank. Some bolts are 1/4 x 4 inches but most are the 3/8ths x 4 inch. The impact cinched the lag bolts down without hesitation. The batteries both lasted long enough for a good days work for me, at near 72 it is not as hard as a younger fellow could do but long enough. The batteries charged up fast, about twenty minutes each. If you had two chargers you would be all set. For professional work I would recommend larger capacity or extra batteries. Larger capacity batteries are heavier which would reduce the light weight feel of these tools I think.I am very happy with both of these tools. The utility bag really comes in handy!I got this on the recommendation of a neighbor and have been VERY PLEASED with them. It is nice to have the combo kit so I can drill with the one tool then quickly use the impact drill without changing out bits. The impact drill is powerful, providing plenty of torque. My previous drill was a Milwaukee electric drill (plug-in) and the DeWALT cordless has all the torque I need. I debated between the DeWALT and the Milwaukee cordless drills. Both get great reviews. I went with the DeWALT because their set for the price was brushless which should last longer. The battery for the Milwaukee seemed a bit better but I found the batteries on this set have been fine, charging quickly and providing sufficient power for good torque. The first project I used the tools for was hanging pictures and mirrors on walls in our new house and having the drill separate from the impact drill was great so I didn't need to change out bits between drilling and screwing. The next project was building shelves in our storage room and was happy to see I didn't have to stop the project due to batteries running dead. I started off using both batteries but the one for the impact drill ran out so I put it on the charger then used the other battery for both drills. The first battery was charged before the second battery needed charging.I am very happy with this set and would recommend it to the handyperson around the house.Excelentes herramientas, super buenas, gran compra. Is used oftenMy dad came over to help me build a swing set one day. He had his old Dewalt 18V drill, and I had my 18v Black and Decker. His could easily put a 3/8" bit through a 4x6 post and drive some pretty heavy duty lag bolts all the way in. My Black & Decker couldn't even get close. My Black & Decker was good enough for light around the house use, but now that I'm out on 6 acres and not in a new house in a subdivision, I needed an upgrade.I got on Amazon and ordered these that same night. The quality and power of these 20v tools is simply incredible compared to my Black & Decker. The impact driver in particular is worth every cent. I only wish I'd had this set when I built my son's fort. My Black and Decker could barely hack it, but it would have been so much smoother with these Dewalts.Getting 2 batteries in this package is an added bonus. I remember dropping close to 100 bucks for a replacement battery for my dad's for Christmas a few years back, and this pack came with the drill, impact driver, and 2 batteries for $200. Can't complain about that.I see there's a discrepancy to the battery sizes to this combo kit. "Currently" it is only 1.3AH- so I guess Dewalt is cutting costs. I used it for a while but upgraded to (DCK287D2) as it has 2AH batteries, better lighting, more powerful motors and a hammer drill function. This kit is fine for those who don't use their tools too often otherwise you'd want longer battery life. Charging is quick, about 20-30mins. Everything functions well otherwise.Dewalt needs to be more upfront on the specs so we know what we're getting. So far Dewalt products have not let me down. These are my 2nd and 3rd power tools from dewalt (my first is a wired power drill). Good power for screwing in screws or tightening bolts and nuts. Solidly built (I have dropped both the drill and driver from a ladder and did not experience any issues) and is a great drill and driver combo for those odd jobs around the house. As I have just had this for only a couple of months now, I can't make a full judgement on the battery. So far so good, but I will update my post when I start seeing a decline in power/charge. The replacement batteries are quite pricey though. It's DeWalt, always the best. (I'm a contractor) Just do your research before bashing DeWalt....if you're going to use it for commercial uses, buy their heavy-duty models. If you are a weekend warrior, buy their mid grade level, etc.....bought 6 of these sets, 2 were for gifts to in-laws, and 4 are for spares in trucks used on average 4 times a week, get banged around a lot, they are mid-level grade but will last a very long time even with abuse.I have only had this kit for a few months now, but I use the impact daily and haven't had a single issue.I'm a mechanic so I don't use these for driving a lot of screws into wood, concrete etc, and they don't get dropped a lot. I mostly use them for removing and installing M4, M6 and M8 Fasteners. Anything bigger than M8 and I either brake it free with a wrench first or use a different impact gun.I also have had 2 of the 12V versions and absolutely love them. This 20V kit obviously has more power, but the 12V is a little smaller and great for tighter spots.Me encanto el taladro de impacto, es una maravilla y tiene suficiente torque para cualquier trabajo, aunque del taladro me algo decepcionado. Compare este taladro con uno que tenia y perfore una madera de 1.4 cm, mi taladro alambico de 400 Watts tuvo menos problemas para perforar la madera mientras que este se tardo mas pero al final logro el trabajo con la batería al 100%. Para ser franco yo no noto una diferencia entre los diferentes "modos"
